Civil Service Commission

Making a Complaint

The Civil Service Commission regulates recruitment into the Civil Service, ensuring that appointments are made on merit after fair and open competition and in line with its published Recruitment Principles.   The Civil Service Commission can hear complaints from anyone who believes that an external recruitment exercise has breached these principles.

The Civil Service Commission can also hear complaints from Civil Servants about breaches of the Civil Service Code.  The Civil Service Code is the ethical code of conduct for Civil Servants which require them to carry out their roles with commitment to the Civil Service core values.  These values are:  Integrity, Honesty, Objectivity and Impartiality.
